Victorian Doll Dress

Erin paused before the picture, utterly startled. In her full skirt decked with violet flowers, topped with ivory cotton, she was dressed nothing like the woman in the portrait. But oh the face!
Of course she looks familiar, said a voice. That's your great-aunt.
Erin turned to find the man who'd painted the portrait beside he. She'd heard he was at the party. Now he startled her again.
She was a delightful subject. But I would be even more pleased to paint her beautiful great-niece.
